Pimples are troublesome and annoying additions to your skin. We present four easy ways to get rid of them.
You are all excited about the annual office party, but suddenly you don’t feel like going because you have developed a pimple! It sits on your face, visible to one and all, and it is sure to cast a damper on your mood.
But fret not – you can zap your pimple in a matter of minutes. All you need for your quick pimple treatment are some basic items you can find around your house to work their magic on the offending pimple. We list these for you:
- Ice cubes. Icing the area numbs the pimple, removes inflammation and helps in nourishing the skin around it. The pimple starts to dry out almost at once. Wrap an ice cube in a thin cloth and hold it over the pimple. Use most of the ice cube before discarding. This should be the last thing you do before going to bed. You will notice that the pimple is flat and almost dead the next morning. Try this cure first thing in the morning and see the results by evening!
- Toothpaste. That homely tube of paste cleans not just your teeth, but it also provides fast action for taking away your pimples. Cleanse your face and pat dry. Now dab a little white toothpaste directly on the pimple and go to bed. As you sleep, the toothpaste dries out the pimple gradually. When you wash it off in the morning, most of the pimple will also be washed off. Apply a soothing cream over the pimple to calm the skin.
- Garlic juice. Used in alternative medicine for its anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, garlic is a potent anti-pimple cure. Crush a clove of garlic till it releases juice. Now apply the juice directly on the pimple and let it dry. Do not wash it off. The juice penetrates the skin and eliminates the pimple from the root, and it won’t even leave a scar. But be sure not to use it on irritated skin.
- Steam. Steaming once a week helps maintain the health of your skin by unclogging its pores and removing excess oil and trapped dirt. Before you steam your face, rub a creamy cleanser onto your face. Do not wipe it off. Now let the steam come in contact with your skin for at least 10 minutes (take care not to cause burns). By now, your face will drip with cleanser. Use clean cotton pads to wipe your face till every trace of cleanser is gone. The pimples will be softened by the steam and come away easily on wiping, and the cleanser will remove dirt and impurities.
